February 15th was a special night for sure. I found myself downtown Corbin at You Me Coffe & Tea for a songwriters round. Sponsored by Heart of the mountains and organized by Jordan Allen. The show started with Jodan singing a great original song and getting the crowd settled in. We had a big crowd and they were very into whatever music we wanted to deliver. AfterJordan set the mood I played a new country song that I wrote a month ago. Again the crowd just hung onto each word. Next Sydney Adams played one of her original songs accompanied by Dustin Lambdin on acoustic guitar. Wow! Both these songwriters can not only write a great song. Their singing is unbelievable. I felt like a braying donkey trying to keep up. We all sang 4 songs each with Jordan closing the show with a very emotional song about his grandparents. "Name on a stone"
All in all another great night as a singer songwriter. I got to see some old friends Jay Smooth, Savannah Jones, Josh Blankenship his mother Trudy all dear friends. My brother from another mother Mike Cook and his sweet girlfriend. Plus Jordan and Sydney. Even made new friends like Dustin Lambdin and Matt McQueen. Cant wait for the next one..Later Big D
